Successfully proving or disproving service can have substantial impacts on the amount of federal infrastructure funding that Tuolumne County recieves from the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD). The proccess is a little complicated but we'll walk you through it.
If you subscribe to satelite internet (Starlink, etc.) or an ISP that serves your location with unlicesned wireless technology (Conifer Communications, etc.), the BEAD program considers your location to be “unserved” and there is no need to test your service. You are welcome to use this tool but we cannot contest your service on your behalf.
Are you are at the service location that you want to test? If so, let's check if internet providers claim to serve you.
1. Start typing your address in the search box without commas or periods.
2. When your address appears in the list below, click to select it.
If your address is not in the list, we will not be able to test your service. This is becuase funding is limited to exact matches of addresses that are in the FCC database. If your address is missing information such as "North," "West," etc., select the closest match and continue on.
